Introducing Toward Reward’s 2025 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale purchase, a strapping chestnut colt by KERMADEC (NZ). This colt was secured for an absolute steal at just $60K out of the MB Thoroughbreds draft and is a fantastic new addition to the TR team.
This well-balanced and very attractive colt really struck the eye of the team at TR and our bloodstock agent, Lenny Russo of Bluegrass Bloodstock, and is set to be trained by G1-winning trainers and good pals Emma-Lee & David Browne of Sparta Racing. Lenny has only ever had the two Kermadec’s make his final shortlist prior to this colt, and they were G1 winners TUVALU and MONTEFILIA! It’s quite remarkable, though a bit hard to wrap your head around, that this colt is a November foal, holding his own against the older colts at the sales complex, with enormous scope to further develop physically. This colt has 2YO written all over him, being out of the Listed 2YO St Albans Stakes winner, EXCEEDINGLY FRENCH, and half to the 2YO VOBIS Gold Elvstroem Classic winner, LA FALAISE. He was transported straight to Sparta’s farm for a well-earned break to let down after what was a long sales preparation, with an aim to commence his educational preparation next month.
This colt is bred on the same exceptional cross as G1 Toorak Handicap winner TUVALU, and a whopping 20% stakes-winners to starters, including dual G1-winning Champion 2YO VANDEEK (GB), and recent Listed La Teste Stakes winner HOLGUIN (GB).
