Shuriken (Scotty) will forever hold a special place in our hearts. He was the first horse we purchased and the first to run in our colours.

Shuriken was a $15k weanling purchase secured privately out of the 2020 Great Southern Sale catalogue. He won on debut over an unsuitable distance giving us the fairy tale start to our business.

Shuriken had 4 starts for his connections resulting in 2 wins and $157,500 prizemoney. He won on debut at Casterton over 1200M and again in the rich $175k VOBIS GOLD Eureka Stockade over 1400M on Ballarat Cup day. He was enormous in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas from the carpark draw, setting the fastest last 600M of the day and the 4th fastest last 200M of the day only beaten by the first 3 home in the Listed 1000M sprint.

He was sold to HK for a seven figure sum resulting in a $1.15M+ collect for his connections. We will follow him closely and wish him all the best in the next phase of his racing career.
