North Pacific x No Sail
NORTH PACIFIC x NO SAIL FILLY
We are delighted to announce the acquisition of a stunning NORTH PACIFIC filly from the 2026 Inglis HTBA Sale. She was our standout filly on type — an elegant, athletic mover with real presence — and the kind of individual who would not have looked out of place in any of the major sales rings on the calendar.
This marks an exciting milestone as our second of two yearlings specifically selected and targeted to be syndicated and raced in Tasmania. Under the guidance of leading trainer Stuart Gandy, this filly has every opportunity to shine — and if she’s as quick as she is stunning, she’ll be winning plenty of races and hopefully adding valuable black type on her page. This filly offers a rare ownership opportunity: a high‑quality Tasmanian‑trained prospect set to be aimed at the state’s richest fillies and mares features, with the scope to chase black‑type races on the mainland as she progresses.
ARISTOPOLOS has quickly become one of Tasmania’s most exciting success stories, compiling a flawless record with 5 wins from 5 starts, including victories on both good and soft ground, and proving untouchable each time he stepped out. His dominance highlights a powerful truth: when a high‑quality mainland horse is placed in Tasmania, the results can be spectacular. The state offers competitive prize money, significantly lower training fees, and a racing landscape where a well‑credentialed Victorian‑bred galloper can immediately rise to the top. For owners, that means greater strike‑rate potential, more winnable black‑type pathways, and the opportunity to build a horse’s profile and value in a less crowded but highly rewarding jurisdiction. Whether you’re based in Tasmania or interstate, this filly opens the door to high‑quality racing on both sides of Bass Strait. Sending the right horse south isn’t just a smart play — as Aristopolos has shown, it can be a winning formula.
NORTH PACIFIC, a G3‑winning sprinter by Brazen Beau, was an $800K yearling and a valuable outcross to DANEHILL, admired as one of the standout colts of his generation and narrowly beaten in the G1 Golden Rose by OLE KIRK. His oldest progeny are now 3YOs, including the talented Tasmanian Oaks placegetter Zuleika. Trainer John Hawkes declared him “one of the best looking yearlings I’ve ever seen at a sale.” His race‑day talent matched his physique, with form analyst Daniel O’Sullivan rating his peak performances among the very best of his 3YO generation, noting he possessed “serious G1 talent.” Champion jockey James McDonald echoed that sentiment, saying he “oozes class, executes brilliantly and puts them away with ease.” The filly’s dam, No Sail, by BENETEAU, comes from a family known for producing sharp, early-running sprinters, with Beneteau mares proving increasingly valuable broodmares. This filly is her second foal, arriving at a time when Beneteau mares are producing an impressive strike‑rate of city‑class and stakes‑quality performers such as G3 P J Bell Stakes winner PLAINTIFF and Listed Redoute’s Choice Stakes winner GIN TWIST.
She was transported straight from the Riverside Stables sales complex to Leneva Park to commence her breaking-in and barrier education. Once her initial education phase is wrapped up at Leneva Park, she’ll be on the boat to Tasmania to begin her racing career with Stuart Gandy and his team out of their Hobart stable.
