Shuriken ticked off his first official jump out at the end of May! It was over the 600m on the synthetic track at Geelong.
As you can see in the following footage, he remained calm in the barriers and jumped well. He settled in the lead two and remained there until the 600m mark! His rider (wearing green silks with yellow sleeves) eased him down nicely, and overall, it was a very positive first attempt!
Shuriken will now spend 8-10 weeks in the paddock, taking a well-deserved break, and we look forward to his return to the stable!
Paulartes has also completed her preparation. She finished with Brad Pearson and spent some time at Wilde Racing’s Warrnambool stable before completing a baby jump out with three stablemates at Warrnambool. She’s been to the beach, on the treadmill, on the track and through the barriers this time in!
Symon describes Paulartes as a “good filly to work with” who is sensible and “does everything right”. The Wilde Racing team and Brad Pearson have also commented on her lovely temperament.
Like Shuriken, Paulartes is now in the paddock, enjoying a break. In the following footage of her educational jump out, she is in the back pair, closest to the camera.
Our Harry Angel x Catskill Roc colt is now halfway through his education process! Brad Pearson says he is doing a good job and “ticking all the boxes” and describes him as a “nice, sensible colt”.
